Privacy Policy
Effective date: July 29, 2026
The short, human version:
We never sell your data. Ever.
Your Oura data is yours. Blijewell just helps you make sense of it.
We don't use your data to train AI models, and neither do our providers.
You can delete your data anytime, and we explain exactly how below.
Blijewell offers wellness support. It does not give medical advice, so please see your doctor for anything medical.
This Privacy Policy explains how Blijewell LLC (“we,” “us,” “our”) handles personal information on blijewell.com and the Blijewell wellness companion, including our in-person guest experience (together, the “Service”). Blijewell LLC is the data controller for the personal information described here.
The data we collect, with examples and who we share it with
We collect only what the Service needs to work, and each source of data is one you connect or provide yourself. We share data only with the service providers who help us run Blijewell, only as needed, and never for their own advertising. We do not use your data to train AI models, and none of our providers do either.
| Category of data | Examples | Who we share it with |
|---|---|---|
| Oura health data | Sleep, readiness, heart rate, heart rate variability (HRV), body temperature, blood oxygen (SpO2), daily stress, and workouts, read from your Oura account only after your separate health-data consent | Oura (the source, at your direction), Vercel (hosting), Upstash (short-lived processing), Supabase (storage), Anthropic (turning data into plain-language insights) |
| Weather and air quality | Conditions such as pressure, temperature, daylight, and air quality for the general location you set | Open-Meteo (the weather source), Vercel, Upstash, Supabase, Anthropic |
| Google Calendar | Upcoming events from calendars you choose to connect, so insights can consider your day ahead | Vercel, Upstash, Supabase, Anthropic |
| Things you log | Notes you add yourself about meals, medications, supplements, skin, and activity | Vercel, Upstash, Supabase, Anthropic |
| Account and contact data | Your name and email address | Vercel (hosting), Supabase (storage) |
| Early-list signups | Your email address when you join our list for Blijewell updates | Supabase (stores the contact), Beehiiv (delivers our emails) |
| Device and connection data | Device and browser type, IP address, and the pages you view, used to serve and secure the Service | Vercel (hosting and security) |
Your health data comes first
Health data gets its own rules, its own consent, and its own notice. We collect your Oura health data and your health-related logs only after you give a separate, explicit, opt-in consent, never as part of a blanket acceptance of terms. You can withdraw that consent anytime.
The full details, including your rights under the Washington My Health My Data Act and similar state laws, live in our Consumer Health Data Privacy Notice.
How we use your information
- To connect your Oura data with your everyday context and turn it into personalized, plain-language wellness insights.
- To respond to your messages and requests.
- To send you the Blijewell updates you signed up for. Every email has an unsubscribe link, and leaving the list is instant.
- To keep the Service secure and working.
- To record your consent choices as proof of consent.
We use Anthropic's Claude to turn your data into plain-language insights. Anthropic processes this data as our service provider and does not use it to train its models.
Cookies and tracking
We use a consent banner that blocks all non-essential cookies and tracking until you make a choice. Today the Service runs only necessary cookies, and no analytics or marketing trackers at all. For the full list and how long each lasts, see our Cookie Policy.
We honor the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal. If your browser sends GPC, we treat it as an opt-out and do not run analytics or marketing trackers.
Who we share information with
We do not sell your personal information for money, and we never sell or share your health data for advertising. We share limited information with service providers who help us run the Service, only as needed: Oura, Vercel, Upstash, Supabase, Anthropic, Open-Meteo, and Beehiiv, each as described in the table above. We may also disclose information if the law requires it, or as part of a merger or sale of Blijewell LLC, in which case this Policy continues to apply to your data.
Deleting your data
Deleting is simple, and it is your right. Here is exactly how:
- Delete your account and data. Email privacy@blijewell.com from the email address on your account with the subject “Delete my data.” We delete any Oura data we hold within 72 hours, and your account and all other associated data within 30 days.
- Disconnect Oura. Sign in to your Oura account at cloud.ouraring.com, open the connected apps settings, and remove Blijewell. No new Oura data reaches us from that moment. Then email us as above if you also want the already-collected data deleted.
- Anything else. For any other request, question, or correction, email privacy@blijewell.com and a human will help.
Your choices and rights
- Change your cookie choices anytime through the “Cookie settings” link in our footer.
- Global Privacy Control is honored automatically.
- Withdraw your health-data consent anytime, as described in the Consumer Health Data Privacy Notice.
- Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold, and to opt out of certain uses. California (CCPA/CPRA) and Virginia (VCDPA) residents have these rights, and Washington residents have additional health-data rights described in the health-data notice. To make a request, email privacy@blijewell.com. We will not treat you differently for exercising them.
Do Not Track
Browsers can send a “Do Not Track” signal, but there is no shared standard for it, so we do not respond to DNT specifically. We do honor the Global Privacy Control signal as described above.
Data retention
We keep information only as long as needed. We hold your Oura data only as long as needed to create your insights, and we delete it within 72 hours of a deletion request. Your account and the rest of your connected data are kept while your account is active, your early-list email address until you unsubscribe or ask us to remove it, and consent records for as long as needed to show compliance. When you delete your account, your data goes with it, apart from the anonymous consent log we must keep as proof of consent.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information. No method of transmission over the internet is fully secure, so we cannot promise absolute security.
Adults only
The Service is for adults 18 and over. It is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe someone under 18 has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.
Links to other sites
Our Service may link to sites we do not control. This Policy does not cover their practices.
Changes
We may update this Policy. We will post the new version here and update the effective date.
